This fifteen-day pilgrimage provides an introduction to the Scottish roots of the Presbyterian Church as well as its contemporary expression in the Church of Scotland. Pilgrims will also connect with the contemporary Iona community in Glasgow and have time for rest and reflection on Iona. Highlights include Edinburgh and Glasgow, the Isle of Iona with its evocative abbey, and key sites related to the life and ministry of John Knox in Edinburgh and St. Andrews. In Ireland, pilgrims will take in the early roots of Celtic Christianity at sites associated with St. Patrick, delight in the scenery of the Antrim Coast, and learn about peacemaking efforts in the aftermath of the Troubles. Along the way, worship with local congregations and enjoy the food and conviviality of these delightful lands and people.
