with Holy Trinity Episcopal Church
May 13-21, 2022, from $3,050 Per Person
Join the Rev. Sarah Carver on this Ireland Pilgrimage, from Dublin to Galway. This 9-day journey begins in Dublin with visits to St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the Book of Kells, and a welcome dinner with traditional Irish music and storytelling. Leaving Dublin, we travel south and west, visiting Kilkenny and Limerick and enjoying visits to Kilkenny Castle, St. Canice’s Cathedral, and more along the way. We’ll enjoy time at Glendalough, in Galway, and on Inis Mor, one of the Aran Islands. This itinerary provides an accurate look at what you may expect in your 9-day pilgrimage, but may be adjusted for efficiency and guide availability.
Holy Trinity Pilgrimage Covenant
Pilgrimage at Holy Trinity means joining a community of fellow travelers on an inward journey of faith and an outward journey into the sacred places in the world. It is a journey of transformation meant to pull us out of our everyday routines and duties so that we may find ourselves put onto the paths of Christians past and present who have sought to be nearer to God in prayer, in purpose and in spirit.
As pilgrims we seek to walk in love with God and with one another, to worship in community, and to seek God’s will for each of us as beloved members of God’s creation. Because community is so central to our faith, we ask each pilgrim to commit to one another in the following ways:
- To participate in formation activities and community building opportunities such as walks, dinners, and educational meetings.
- To support others in their journeys through prayer, encouragement, sacred listening, and presence.
- To welcome the opportunities for growth and adventure whether exhilarating or deeply challenging.
- To recognize the gifts each person brings to the journey.
- To stay current in all necessary information, documents, payments and communication.
As a new or returning member of the pilgrimage community, I commit myself to my fellow travelers and to the journey that lies before me.
Pilgrimage is a powerful spiritual undertaking and the opportunity to draw closer to God, to old and new friends and to oneself. Welcome to the journey!
