The Old Way to Canterbury with St. Paul’s Episcopal of Winston-Salem

April 13-22, 2027

ABOUT

Over the course of ten days, pilgrims will explore the ancient landscapes, long-standing stones, dramatic coastlines, monastery ruins, and soaring cathedrals along the old walking ways to Canterbury, the seat of our Anglican tradition. Pilgrims have been finding their footing on the road to Canterbury for over 700 years, and as we walk in their footsteps, we’ll ponder how ordinary Christians have connected to God in their daily lives, even and especially amidst dramatic social upheaval and change. As we explore the landscape and learn about the roots of our Anglican/Episcopal tradition, we will reflect on what has grounded Christians in times of uncertainty. This pilgrimage begins in London and culminates in three nights’ accommodation within the grounds of Canterbury Cathedral, where church bells and the echoes of centuries of pilgrimage help us ask the same question of ourselves, “How do we seek God, here and now?” Schedule may be adjusted for efficiency and guide availability.
