ABOUT
This thirteen-day pilgrimage opens with three nights inside the precinct of Canterbury Cathedral, the seat of our Anglican tradition, then follows the Welsh saints from the Pembrokeshire coast to the Vale of Glamorgan. Augustine came to Kent in the late sixth century; the saints we meet in Wales were his elders and his contemporaries: Illtud, who taught most of the others; David, whose shrine drew pilgrims counting two journeys here as one to Rome; Non, his mother, said to have borne him on a clifftop in a storm; Teilo, whose gospel book holds the oldest surviving writing in Welsh; and Cadoc, whose church hid its medieval paintings under limewash for four hundred years. Every day features morning devotion, a time of reflection, and at least one meal together. This itinerary offers a glance at what to expect; schedule may be adjusted for efficiency and guide availability.
