ABOUT
This bespoke ten-day itinerary created specifically for Saint Luke’s by Shannon and our travel provider, Progressive Pilgrimage, covers some of the most famous parts of Scotland, and also spends plenty of time off the beaten path. Wherever we go, the themes of spirituality, both Celtic and modern, weave through the sites and experiences. We start in Glasgow, learning about neolithic stone carvings that pre-date any Christian settlement of the island. We also venture to Kilmartin Glen, one of the richest locations for ancient stone carvings and structures. We spend a few days in the Highlands, enjoying the spectacular scenery and exploring ancient themes of spirituality and their relevance today. Finally, we wrap up our pilgrimage with time in Perth, St. Andrews, and Edinburgh exploring our Presbyterian history and connections to the Church of Scotland. This itinerary offers a glance at what you can expect on your pilgrimage. The schedule may be adjusted for efficiency and guide availability.
